NAVIGATING & SEARCHING

Find the images you’re looking for by browsing our archive or searching the database. The Image Gallery contains selections of photographs that have been sorted by musical artist, music genres, and other subjects. Click on the name, genre, or subject you’re interested in to see all of the digitized images in that category. You can also browse according to the portfolio or collection to which the images belong by selecting Photographers & Collections.

Alternately, use the Search box in the top left corner on the Cache site to find an image. Search for a name of a person, place, city or photographer, etc. You can even search by year or a specific date if you so choose. The Cache search engine will not only look at the image titles, but will also check the description (caption), keywords, copyright and date fields as well. Use the Advanced Search feature to select specific fields and criteria to search by. This can be helpful if you wish to exclude specific information or fields from your search or to more accurately zero in on specific results.
